When I sat down with Kendra at our initial consultation, the very first thing I noticed was her wide smile.  Kendra is vibrant and fun, and I knew her wedding flower vision would match her personality even before we started talking blooms!

Kendra and Ethan love Colorado, and Ethan proposed to Kendra there with a freshly-picked wildflower bouquet.  Kendra wanted that same fresh wildflower style for their wedding day.  She wanted to feel as if they were in the middle of a summertime Colorado field.

We chose to use a huge variety of summer flowers, with a majority of those being locally grown in Iowa.  Pretty wildflower textures, along with splashes of sunny color,  popped beautifully against Kendra's choice of vibrant green for her bridesmaids' dresses.

The wildflowers continued on the arch, which was then moved behind the head table for the reception.  Long farm tables were decorated with various bud vases and mixed flowers, and the round tables each boasted a mixed wildflower arrangement.  This mix of textures and blooms served to coordinate with all the other florals, but still keep that lovely wild Colorado meadow feel.

KENDRA AND ETHAN

LAUREL RIDGE Barn

Hope and Evan envisioned a warm, inviting boho-style wedding filled with dried and fresh flowers, friends and family. This wedding was filled with personal touches, from bottles collected by family members to the photo backdrop that Hope painted herself.

We chose to use a variety of warm-toned flowers and grasses to bring the boho wedding to life. Of course, we used Pampas grass, which is a boho wedding staple, but we added eucalyptus, dried hydrangea, dried protea, toffee roses, bleached fern, strawflowers, blue thistle and tuberose, among other fall dried and fresh materials. Hope wanted streaming ribbons, so we chose soft velvet ribbons to bring in the beautiful autumn feel.

Instead of an arch installation, Hope and Evan chose to use kombucha bottles from their home filled with pampas grass and other coordinating dried florals. These were placed at the base of the ceremony arch and then moved to the photo booth backdrop.

We placed bottles of varying sizes, shapes and colors on the reception tables, all filled with bits of fun textures and fall colors to bring everything together. Behind the head table, we designed two smaller installations to hang on either side of the neon sign and grid background.

gender reveal

chelsea and brandon

Chelsea is a wedding photographer and sees a lot of flowers, so when she asked me to design for her gender reveal party, I was so excited!
We designed a low arrangement for her table, and loved the almost ombre-like flow from pale blue into white into peachy pinks.  The flowers looked so beautiful with Chelsea's balloon arch background and her delicious cupcakes!
